HORSES THAT HAVE WON £20,000

The ambition of that melancholy multi-millionaire, the Duke of Westminster, is said to be to win more money in stakes with Flying Fox than has ever before been secured with a single animal. He doesn't want the filthy dross —that all goes regularly to suitable charities —but aspires to the honour and glory of the achievement. The record of "the Fox" for this and last season will apparently touch about £40,000. or £15,000 short of Donovan's sensational aggregate of £55,000 odd; but next year "the engagements of the son of Onne are such that he looks like easily beating that record.
