The Matin newspaper says that France is prepared to favourably consider the matter if Germany proposes collective action to maintain the ballance of power in South Africa.
SYDNEY, October 27.
A local insurance broker has received a. cablegram from a. London underwriter, stating- that on and after November 10th nil Australian produce for Great Britain will be charged on war indemnity rates. This is believed
to be the outcome of European complications.
