At Gleeson's Hotel on October 12 an inquest was held before .Dr. Philson, coroner, on the body of Edward Sidney, fish hawker, who hanged himself in bis bedroom on October 11. Evidence was given by Dr. Moil*, William Clarkson, in whose house he resided, Percy Humphries, who found the body, and the widow, Mrs Sidney. The evidence showed that deceased had been a teetotaller for ten years, but had of late taken to drink. It is supposed that Sidney hanged himself on Tuesday afternoon.
