THE ALDERSHOT CASE.

WELLINGTON, this day. i With regard to the recent case ot ptomaine poisoning at Aldershot, Mr" Ruddock, Government Dairy Commis* sioner, says that it does not imply inferiority of an article in any way* Poisoning by tyrotoxicon had been known to occur through the eating of cheese which gave no visible sign or being affected, it being known to hap* pen in connection With the consump* tion of milk and ice creams. A number of eases had from time to time been reported in connection with Canadian and American cheeses of apparently excellent quality, but the publ|(| soon forgot all about them, and noappreciable harm occurred to the trada as a result.
