Mr Witheford suggests that as Cirptain Russell and Mr Seddon (Premier) have both stated their approval of the San Francisco line that we should give these "two great men an opportunity to show their sincerity by using their combined influence to establish New Zealand's premier mail service on the lines indicated without further delay. A simple act of this .kind will give great satisfaction to all the Auckland admirers of the Rt. Hon. R. J. Seddon and of Captain Russell. The Auckland members will, at the same time, have an opportunity of distinguishing themselves before again soliciting- re-election.
