Despite rumours of Avar, Mr Charles Arnold has had a hearty reception at the Standard Theatre, Johannesburg, with his amusing comedy, "What Happened to Jones." Mr Arnold is an old favourite in South Africa as in Australia, and his neAv play seems to have caught on better than did "Hans the Boatman," which he Avorked to such good effect. He Avill reach Australia early next year; possibly a good deal sooner if AA'ar breaks out in South Africa. Boys' knickers 1/11, suits 2/11, men's strong tweed suits from 17/6, trousers 4/11.—Moore's, Pitt-st.—(Ad.)
