NO HELP FOR KRUGER,
CAPETOWN, September 7,
General Sir Forester Walker, the new commandant, has arrived, and received an ovation.
Air Hofmeyer has telegraphed a warning- to President Kruger not to expect help from the Cape.
An Afrikander paper advises President Kruger to yield the franchise, to govern liberally, and to avoid £ie suzerainty question.
NeAvspapers at the Cape urge that the placing of an army corps on the frontier alone would end the exasperating delays.
' The anxiety is not abated, and it 5s feared thai the crisis tends to AA'ar.
A command of Utrecht burghers is patrolling the Buffalo River forming the northern portion of Natal.
The authorities at Pretoria admit that a French consignment of cannon is expected.
