WAITEMATA.

Mr E. Ford. Liberal candidate for Waitemata, addressed a large meeting at Maung-aturoto on Monday evening. He received a vote of thanks.

STEATFOED, this day. Mr W. Monkbouse, the Opposition candidate for the Egmont seat, addressed the electors here on Monday nio-ht. The speech was generally on the lines of Captain Russell's late speeches. A vote of thanks was aci corded to Mr Monkhouse. WANGANUI, this day. At a mee-ting of the Liberal Association last night, Mr Willis, late member was selected as candidate in the Liberal interest, by about 170 votes : against 80 for Mr T. B. Williams.
