TThe Monthly meeting of the committee of the Auckland Ractn# Club was held yesterday afteroon Mr Alfred Buckland presided. A letter was read from Major George rnikinff a complaint that the jockeys VV Bird a.ud AY. Gall had while in his ' 'ploy refused to do certain duty. Major George, Kos,s Hcaton. and the hockeys affected made statements before the committee. The committee oassed a resolution that they considered the refusal of orders was fully Tu-oved and that a jockey's license be refused to Bird and Gall for a period o f twelve months. Several jockeys w ere refused licenses.The programme for the Te Aroha West meeting was A Press Association telegram states ■the Wellington Racing1 Club has a credit balance of £1150. Mr Geo. Baynes of Parnell, offers a reward of £20 for information that ■will lead to the conviction of those who caused the death of a colt foal kv Ben Godfrey —Pausey on Friday night or Saturday morning, Ist or 2nd inst., 'in his paddock, Brighton Road. The foal was found dead with a. severe wound on its forehead.
