(Before His Honor Mr Justice . . Conolly.) ALLEGED ATTEMPT TO ROB.

The indictment preferred against Alfred O'Donnell that on 24th Maylast at Maropiu, near, Dargaville, he did assault a Maqri woman named Rihipene Ropata with intent to rob, occupied the Court until five o'clock last evening. This morning His Honor summed up the case, to the jury, who returned to consider their verdict at 25 minutes to eleven. At 20 minutes past eleven the jury returned to Court with a verdict of not guilty, and His Honor discharged accused.
