IN MEMORIAM.
MATTHEWS. —In sail and loving remembrance of a fond husband and father, James Matthews, who departed this life September 4, ISHS, Auckland Hospital.
It is just one year ago to-day, With aching hearts we stood, Beside our clearest father's bed, To keep him if we could. We prayed to God to spare him, But our prayers were all in vain, For as the evening closed God eased him of his pain.
He is gone but not forgotten. Inserted by his loving wife and family.
