COROMANDEL FOOTBALL.

At Opitomii to-day the final match for the Senior Cup, Wanderers v Opitouui, vvaa played, the Wanderers team being defeated by the home team by 9 points to :i. For the winners Ulrick scorerl 2 tries and J. Irvine 1 try, whilst ('. Irvine registered the only try obtained by Wanderers. All Hie tries gained by the winners were got from splendid passing rushes. Ml" K. J. Furcv was referee.
City 11 v rlauraki.—On Saturday the City First Juniors visited Coromandel and played a match with the First Junior team of the Hanraki Club. The game was exceptionally fast from the start, the Auckland men having a slight advantage in the first spell, but the local men rallied in the second half find kept the visitors busy defending their line, City eventually winning by 15 points to nil. For the winners Tyler and Dervnn each scored two tries and Nicholson kicked a goal from the field. Of the visitors team Tremain. Hill, Paterson, Nicholson, Porteous, and Twynam were the most prominent, while ISarratt, McTntosh, Dunster, and Stevens did good work for ITaui-cvd. Mr W. Stevens was referee, Vfter the match the visitors were entertained at dinner at the Star and Carter Hotel, where some 50 players and friends partook of the good tilings provided by Host Hand. A smoke concert followed, at which a number of toasts were proposed and honoured. Songs were given by Messrs Nicholson, Porteous, Donnell, Gibbs, Caratti, Shaw, and others. Messrs Camplin and Uibbs presiding at the piano.
