PAEROA, this day.
At the Paeroa Police Court to-day, before Messrs Colclough and Forrest, Justices, a carter was fined Is and costs for working a horse with a sore shoulder. Another man, for cruelty to two borses by over driving them was discharged and ordered to pay the -expenses of the prosecution. A third, named Frederick Davidson, who was arrested on a charge of stealing £10 at Waitekauri from William Evans, was charged that whilst in the lock-up lie damaged two buckets, valued at 4s, the property of Her Majesty, by kicking them. He was convicted and ordered to pay a fine of 10s and 4s, the value of the buckets, with tae alternative of seven days.
