WELLINGTON DOG SHOW.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)
WELLINGTON, this day.
The Wellington Kennel Club's show is admitted on all hands to be one of the best held in the history of
the club. The internal arrangements are perfect, and the hon. secretary (Mr A. W. Stevens), upon whom the greater part of the work has fallen, is unanimously congratulated upon the result of his labours. Mr Coupe, of Melbourne, who acted as judge, expressed surprise at the increase in quality of the dogs on exhibit. Collies make the strongest class in the exhibition. Mrs L. Caselberg (Wellington) won the New Zealand Collie Club's ladies' challenge trophy for the best collie in the show, with the handsome dog Major. Two gold medals, awarded by the New Zealand Collie Club, were won respectively by Mrs Hill (Palmerston North), with Rotare Scottie, and H. Alexander (Petone), with Nellie. Mrs Hill also won the New Zealand "Times" Company's silver collar for collie dogs. R. Triggs (Wellington) won the championship in fox terriers, with Dusky Delicia. R. McCuiloeh (Waipawa), the championship in Irish terriers with Waipawa Con, G. W. Gaudiu (Wellington) the championship in cocker spaniels, with Bonnie Laddie, Mrs C. Stubbs (Wellington), the championship in collie bitches with St. Cecilia.
