PAHIATUA, this day.
Mr T. E. Taylor addx-esed a crowded meeting last night. A resolution was carried, with only one dissentient, "That this meeting is of opinion that the best interests of the colony will be served by the return of men to Parliament who will support a progressive policy, and place public interests before those of party*" HAWERA; this day. - Captain "Russell delivered an address \ at Patea' last night, mainly on the j lines of his address at other centres, but he made special reference to the flood of co-operative men in the district, as he alleged to out vote resident settlers at the coming elections. The usual complimentary vote was passed. WOODVILLE, this day. Harold Smith, the Pahiatua Opposition League candidate, received a vote of thanks for. an address delivered last'night.
