LACROSSE.

The Lacrosse Association, finished the first round of the competition for the Kohn medals on Saturday. The Pawnees played the Dakotas on the Domain, and at half-time had put on 3 goals to their opponents' 1 goal. This they further increased as play progressed, the concluding score being Pawnees 8 gpals, Dakotas 2. Bradley was very successful, getting no less than five goals fur the winners, while Short obtained two and Lundon one. For the Dakotas, who were severely handicapped by the absence of two players, Atkinson did best, shooting two very pretty goals. In the match between the Iroquois and Mohawks, the latter secured a victory by 6 goals to 3, although at half-time the Iroquois men held the advantage. Both teams were shorthanded, and the game suffered accordingly. For the Mohawks, goals were registered by Morrin (3), Saunders (2), and Anderson (1), while-for the i losers the points were put up by Major, Draper, and Richardson.
