LONDON, August 25.
When play ceased for the day yesterday Somerset had scored 376 for nine wickets.
When play was resumed^this morning the weather was fine and the wicket, in good order. The attendance was fair.
Somerset's innings was concluded in a few minutes, the last man (Tyler) being promptly caught without breaking his duck.
The Australians opened with Trumble and MeLeod.
At the luncheon they had lost two wickets for 128 runs. The score now stands at 240 runs for four wickets.
Lavkn-'s century is the first this batsman has made during- the tour. He gave two chances during his innings.
