SHAREMARKET.

The market closed with business still quiet on-the Stock Exchange today. May Queens were if anything a fit-tie better, 6/3 being offered, while sellers asked 6/9. Grace Darlings continued with steady demand at 2/, and Talismans were "in request at 13/6. Enquiries were also made to-day for Mt. Lyells (Tasmania) at £10 5/. In Coromandel stocks Bunkers Hills were offered as low as 2/8, but after the Exchange closed a telegram was posted announcing that picked stone had been obtained in the drive southwards from the winze. Four-in-Hand shares were a little better. 2/7 being offered, but 3/ was the selling quotation. There was also enquiry for Hauraki Associated shares, Royal Oaks and Welcome Finds, but at prices which were not accepted. In Standard lines there was little change worth noting beyond the fact that 20/ was offered for Taupiri Coal; and that. Northern Steam were easier, being obtainable at 7/9.
