LIKELY WINNERS

CHRTSTCHURCH, this day.
It was foggy yesterday morning but the horses that were sent strong work were Powder Monkey, Range Finder, Barnardo, Malatua, Peerage, Bulrush, Popgun, Marina, Euamahunga, Waterstone, and Crusoe. The latter broke a small blood vessel, but the teainer does not anticipate serious results.
This morning Jupiter, Eideswess, Malatua, Peerage, Cast Ashore, First Blood, Benzoin, Bizarre, Popgun, Bulrush, Ben Farley, Red Banner, Blackberry, Ngaparu, Cornea, Marina, Sir Agnes, Ruby Twist, and Ruamahunga put in the strongest work. Unslopogaas and Glenore, Flirt, Waihora, and Black Dust did good schooling. The latter stopped at one fence.
There are not likely to be any withdrawals for the National.
The following are suggested as likely Winers:
Hunters Hurdles: Irish Twist
Maiden Hurdles: Popgun or Roller. Winter Cup: Castashore, Ngaparu, Huku.
Grand Nationaal Steeplechase: Morag, Powder Monkey, Ruby.
Tally Ho Steeplechase: Crocus or Victor.
Enfield Steeplechase: Barnado, Black Bust, Woolston.
Plate: Wedlock, Bizarre, Bimetallism Ladies Bracelet: Winderinere, Cameo, Golden Legend.
