DAMAGE AT COROMANDEL.

COROMANDEL, this day.
A very heavy gale was experienced here during Sunday and to-day, doing a' considerable amount' of- damage throughout the district, houses and buildings of all descriptions feeling the effects.
A large barn belonging to Mr John Lynch, containiug hay, was completely demolished. The stable, of Mr IL Taylor, cab proprietoi", was wrecked, and a large four-wheeled brake was damaged.
.Heating's Hotel, at the top of the Tokatea range, suffered, nearly all the windows being broken, and the rear portion of the building wrecked. The gale was the strongest that has been experienced here for a number of years. The gale now shows signs of abatement.
