Wellington, July 12. —A wire was received to-night from the captain of the Rotorua,'which has arrived at Picton, stating that seven steamers were under Long Island in shelter from the southerly gale.. They are the Dingadee, Werfa, Hesketh,, Haupiri, Omapere, Rosamond, and Janet | Nlcol. THE RAKAIA. Hobart, July 12.—Arrived: Rakaia, s.s., from London and Capetown. She leaves for Wellington this afternoon. GISBORNE SHIPPING. Gisborne, July 12.—The heavy weather experienced since Sunday has prevented any work being done on the Mawhera, which is still in port. It is expected that the steamer will be able to discharge her cargo and leave for coast ports and Auckland to-morrow evening. The cutter Coralie is still in port. THE FALKE. I
