ASIATICS IN CANADA.
OTTAWA, July 11
Sir Wilfrid Laurier, the Premier, has' explained that Canada had disallowed the British Columbia legislation for the exclusion of Japanese because it was necessary to make sacrifices to maintain the BritishJapanese Alliance. He indicated that Canada would increase the poll-tax on Chinese.
