Auckland, Wednesday
The market has continued steady during the past week with no noteworthy changes in values. Good grades of gum, both light and dark, are very scarce, parcels being- hard to secure even at full rates. Black gum, excepting good quality, is very quiet, and poor stuff generally is hard to sell. The Mayy Hasbronch, which left this week for New York, took away 600 tons of gum. The Hiram Emery is the next vessel to load here for that market. Suppliers of gum of all grades for the past week total 223 tons. Prices remain as follows: — Poor ordinary.. £35 to £42 Fair ordinary £45 to £50 Good ordinary *52 to £6a Superior ordinary £"0 to £80 East Coast £73 to £75 Rescraped £110 up Weak rescraped £85 to £ 100 j
