The s.s.- Waikare left for the South Sea Islands at 4 p.m. on Saturday, and is due back at Sydney on August 14.
Owing to the tides being poor at present, the launching of the s.s. Kawau will be delayed until the next spring tides.
The barque Northern Chief came down from Chelsea this morning, and will berth beside.the Hobson-street Wharf to take In cargo foe the .Kalpara, where she loads timber for Sydney. .
The Tyser s.s. Ardandearg leaves for, Napier to-morrow to discharge further cargo from New York.- On completion of her discharge she loads grain at Lyttelton. for the Channel for orders.
