We have to acknowledge receipt of £5 7/6 from the employees of the Great "Northern Brewery, .Limited, in aid of the widow of the late Robert Muir, who was left almost destitute with four young children. Also donations from S.T., 5/; A Friend, 5/; C.H., 2/6; and A Friend, 10/. The case is a very deserving one and further subscriptions are solicited. A concert foj* the benefit of the widow and family will be given in St. Benedict's Hall to-morrow (Friday) evening.
