Dreyfus imagined that M. Boisdeffre had secured' revision of his sentence. He never heard of Colonel Picquart until Madame Dreyfus explained that officer's position in the case.
The police have destroyed violent anti-Jewish placards ■ which had been distributed and posted about Rennes. General Gallifett has withdrawn the promotion of two army officers, who intimidated witnesses in the Dreyfus ease.
