PROHIBITION LEAGUE.
Last evening the Executive of the Prohibition League held their usual monthly meeting in Pitt-street. 1* was decided to initiate a scheme to secure funds to cover the necessary expenses of the coming local option campaign. The coming visit of tO» ; Rev. F. W. Isitt was considered. A" hearty vote of welcome to the Be* ■£■ M. Isitt was passed and given to tne delegate to read at the welcome"MOT* ing to be held in Wellington next week. utMl The following resolution was aaopv ed by a rising vote: 'That we «P**» our deep sympathy with the relates and friends of the late Mr Joshua Robinson in tJheir recent bereavement, and place on record our high appreciation of his useful life and long^JJ" sistent advocacy of every &™°*TZtemperance movement, Mr Kobmsjm being one of the founders of the toW abstinence cause in this Part, °f-S£ colony. We trust that hie noble *J ness will be an additional stundui for us to do our utmost to hasten^ triumph of the temperance pnncipiw Iheld so dearly by our late friend. The League will be represented » the Wellington Convention by the sw retary (Mr T. J. Bull) and Mr W. Parkinson.
