WELLINGTON CITY IMPROVEMENTS.

WELLINGTON, Friday.
At the City Council last night the Mayor stated that at the next meeting he intended to ask the authority of the Council to take a poll of the ratepayers on the question of borrowing for the following works:—Establishment of public abattoirs. £6000; completion of Kelburne Park. £5000; Thorndon reclamation, £8000; A poll of the ratepayers will also probably be taken as to the erection of a crematorium.
