THE CALCUTTA STEAMERS.
The Union Co.'s Calcutta service to New Zealand takes in this season as the first steamer the Umta, of the British India line, which, is timed to leave Calcutta on 25th proximo, via Singapore. She will be followed by another of the British India Txiats in November, followed by the Union Co.'s Wanaka.
