The Commissioner of Police has issued a circular to all stations in New Zealand instructing that reports be sent to the Secretary of the New Zealand Humane Society of any casos of saving life and of bravery displayed in doing so. .

CHRISTCHURCH, this day.
The Humane Society of New Zealand has aAvarded a certificate for an act of bravery to Charles Jacobsen, a schoolboy, for endeavouring to sai?e a boy named EdAvard Maulser firom drowning in the Takaka river. Nekton. Also a certificate to Samuel W Testrupn of Fernside, Nelson, for efforts _7_ saving the life of William Patterson and family.
