The Railway Department will purchase SPLIT OR SAWN PURIRI SLEEPERS, 7 feet by 8 inches by. 5 inches in size, in lots of 100 or more, delivered and stacked at any station or siding on the Auckland Railway, at three shillings and ninepence (3/9) each. Offers to supply will be received at the office of the Storekeeper, Newmarket, up to 22nd June, 1899. Sleepers to be all heart wood, free from large knots, shakes, and other deI fects; hewn true in shape and out of winding; to be stacked as directed, and to be approved and passed-by the' Railway Inspector. On receiving notice of delivery of Sleepers on proper form, obtainable at the Railway Stations, Auckland, Newmarket.
