WAIKATO MILK SUPPLY.
(From Our Own Correspondent.)
PUKETE, Saturday.
in response to an, invitation from a1 number of settlers Mr Spragg, manager of the tt.Z. Dairy Association, paid a visit here yesterday. A meeting was held in the Te Rapa railway station. In the course of his remarks Mr Spragg intimated that the Association would be willing to erect a creamery at.Te Rapa, provided a guarantee of 300 cows was given, or 200 cows exclusive of those whose milk up to the present has been supplied to other factories. The price for the present season would average 2gd, but he preferred not to. disclose the prices for the coming season just yet. The settlers present signed f-or 240 cows, while others are yet to be approached on the matter. Mr Spragg left the requisition for signature, and promised a definite reply within one week of its receipt. r ;r
