PAEROA, this day.
A meeting of the Committee appointed to prepare for the reception of the Governor on the tenth of May was held last evening in the Criterion Theatre at Paeroa. Mr Cock, County Chairman, was in the chair. Arrangements were made for a triumphal arch and address of welcome, guard of honour, bands, and other details for his fitting entertainment.
Mr Brown, local manager of the National Bank of New Zealand, yesterday purchased premises in Waihi for erection of a branch bank there,; and the building of the same will be immediately proceeded, with.
