THE TUTANEKAI.
■ The New ; Zealand Government steainer-Tutainekai not being immediately: to proceed to Samoa, left tids port at midnight last night for a crudse along the East Coast,'under instructions from the Marine Department, in order to search for the missing schooner Marmion, now considerably byerdue at Tairua 'from Napier. The Tutanekai is to return to Auckland on Monday morning and await further instructions.
The mail steamer Moana, which leaves here on Monday for San Francisco jVia Samoa, will be available to carry despatches to Apia up to.that day, but should further important cable, messages be received later in the week for conveyance to Samoa, the Tutanekai would then no do.ubt be sent down. . ,
