AVONDALE JOCKEY • AUTUMN MEETING
CLUB
On Wednesday and Saturday next the Avondale Jockey Club bring off their autumn meeting. The first event is timed to start at one o'clock, and there will be special trains to Avondale on the occasion. Acceptances fell due last night, and owners made a capital- response. In the Avondale Handicap eleven remain in, and the winner is well concealed. St Ursula is an improved mare, and although she has Bst 31b to carry she should run well. Firefly is.also nicely treated. Nor'-west has droyjped out of the Hurdle Race, for which Opou now reads dangerous. However, it will be time enough to make selections on Tuesday., The acceptances received last night are as follows: —

Manutake, who is engaged in tne Avondale 'J.C. meeting, was brought tip from Gisborne this week. He is located at Avondale.
