OLD AGE PENSIONS

His Worship, Mr Brabant, S.M., had another clearing off of suspended claims this morning, and dealt with a considerable number of cases. There was a large attendance of petitioners and their witnesses during the whole proceedings. The investigating Cow missioner having gone through the evidence and corroborative proofs awarded annuity warrants as under; Catherine Bacon £16, Anna Egan £iS; Jane Quinn £18, James Quinn £18, Sarah' Mitcham £18, Sarah Smith £18, Francis Lowe £18, Ann Shepherd £18, Ellen Black £13. Towards the close of \he sittings one special case was partly heard, and, after the property valuation being mentioned, ratified by the petitioner, and it clearly being free and worth £.400, Mr Brabant made short work of what appeared to be a long case.
