COROMANDEL PUBLIC BATTERY.
The question of erecting, a public battery has come before the .citizens of Coromandel once again. At a meeting- held this month nearly £300 was promised locally, and it is anticipated that an additional sum will be collectled in Auckland. Should the scheme eventuate this district should come I well to the front.
HAUEAKI ASSOCIATED EETUKN.
During the past month the Hauraki Associated Company crushed 30 tons of ore for a return of bullion valued at £285.'
