Messrs Hunter and Nolan's report:— Horses: The Durham Yards were completely filled, and nearly all the lots were sold. Heavy draughts, £12 to £21 10/;' medium, £9 to £17 10/; light harness. £.2 10/ to £12 10/; hacks, £3 10/-to £10 5/. A large catalogue of wool, hides, etc., was gone through to brisk competition. Ox hides, 4d to 53d; cow, 3d to 33d; kip, 3d to 33d; tallow, 12/ to 14/ per cwt; bones, £3 ton; sheepskins, 1/6 to 3/11 each; pelts, Sd to 1/5.- Wool: Fleece, 33d to 43d lb; lambswool, 4d to 4Jd; pieces, 2d to 2id; locks, Id to Ud. Dairy and store cattle were yarded in usual numbers, and beef in full quantities. Fat cattle met a brisker demand than for some weeks, and advanced 1/ per 1001b. Fat steers, IG/ to 19/ per. 1001b; cows, 13/ to 16/; fat sheers, £4 17/6 to £8 each; cows, £3 5/ to £fi 2/6; dairy cows, £4 2/6 to £7 10/; dry cows, £1 8/ to £2 2/. Sheep were entered in large numbers, but prices were unaltered. Wethers, 8/9 to 11/9; ewes, 7/6 to 10/3; store wethers, 6/6 to 8/3; store ewes, 4/6 to 6/9; lambs, .6/6 to 10/3 each.
