NEW PRIMITIVE METHODIST CHURCH.

■ On the afteroon of . April S the foundation stone of a new Primitive Methodist Church was laid at the corner of Greenwood-street and New North Road. Mr D. Goldie (Mayor of Auckland) laid the stone, and the other ceremonies in connection therewith were performed by Messrs J. Ji Craig, Geo. Fowlds, H. Hirst, and Revs. W. Laycock, J. Sharp, S. Buchanan and W. S. ■ Potter. The new church is the outcome of the .starting of the Eden Terrace Church in .September, 1888.' The church was burned down in January last, and a week later it was agreed to take in hand the erection of a new. church at the Great North Road, to cost about £500. • .
