AUCKLAND KENNEL CLUB.
The annual meeting of the Auckland Kennel Club was held last evening in the club-room, .Metropolitan Hotel. Mr F. W. Edwards presided. The annual report stated that the club had made satisfactory progress during the year, and that the show held had been one of the most successful ever held by the club, both from a fanciers' and a financial standpoint, while the statement of accounts showed receipts £ 110 19s 6cl (including balance brought forward, 15s 6d), and expenditure £96 5s 6d, leaving a. credit balance of £14 14s, after wiping off several long-standing debts. Officers for the ensuing year were elected as under: —Patron, His Excellency the Governor; vice-patrons, Messrs A. M. Myers, F. W. Maddox, and H. N. Watson; president, Mr Murdoch McLean; vice-presidents, the Mayor of Auckland (Mr D. Goldie), the Hon. T. Thompson, the Hon. E. ' Mitchelson, Messrs J. J. Holland, M.H.R., J. Bollard, M.H.R., W. F. Massey, M.H.R., H. C. Choyce, A. W. Chatfield, A. H. Grainger, F. L. ; Wright, F. Newell, B. A. Roberts and J. Morrison; hon. sec, Mr R. J. Parry; hon. treasurer, Capt. Blackmore; committee, Messrs F. W. Edwards, A. A. White, G. E. Read, T. Shewring, W. B. Hall and Dr. Owen; hon. veterinary surgeons, Messrs E. D. Halstead and E. B. Kinloch.
