SHAREMARKET.
Talisman shares advanced in price to-day on the Exchange, sales being made at los, with buyers left at 14s 9d.Waihi Silverton shares exhibited a peculiar feature, a sale being reported at 14s 3d this morning, with buyers quoted at 14s 9cl. By noon sales at 15s had taken place, with buyers at 14a 6d, and no quoted sellers under 16s. Crowns were in demand at 13s, and Waitekauri shares at 38s. Buyers also came in again for Ohinemuri Syndicate shares at 2s 4d, and for Alphas at 2s lid. May Queens were easier, 6s 3d being the best offer to-day. Four-in-Hand shares^ were inquired for at 3s Id, and Alburnias sold as low as Is. Royal Oak shares firmed, buyers advancing from Is 2d to Is 6d, with no sellers under 2s. In standard stocks sales took place of Taupiri Coal Mine shares at 20s 9d,and buyers came in for Union Steam at £10 7s 6d, and N.Z. Accident Insurance at 295. Other stocks were unchanged.
