A GOOD RECORD.
WELLINGTON, April 8
The fifth annual report of the Women's Political League contains* the following:—'The past session was chiefly remarkable for the most bitter and unprincipled obstruction on the part of the Opposition, and some irresponsible extremists, to all reforms in favour of the masses; but in spile of it, owing to the able generalship of the Premier, and the loyalty of his followers, the Old Age Pensions A.ct and the Extension of Municipal Franchise Act were passed. Thus the session of IS9B will be for ever memorable in the annals of our legislation. While the wise men at Home kept talking about it, the Premier simply went; and did it. Before fhe end of tlie year the general elections will take place, and the League, as in former times, it is presumed, will remain true to the Liberal cause and advance with courage.' The report was uQaninwmsly approved at a meeting presided over, by Mrs SSeddon.
