AUCKLAND REFEREES' ASSOCIATION.
The annual meeting of the Auckland Referees' Association was held lest evening at the Amateur Sports Club, Mr F. J. Ohlson presiding. The election of officers resulted in Mr Ohlson being unanimously re-appointed chairman, while Mr Beck was made secretary in place of Mr A. G. Pilkington, whose. business engagements prevented him from holding office this season. Messrs Ohlson, Katterns and Beck were re-elected an Examining Committee. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to Mr Pilkington for his past services. The proposed amendments to the rules of the Rugby game, recently formulated in Wei lington, were discussed, and referred to the incoming committee of the Auckland Rugby Union. It was decided to instruct the association delegate to the Auckland Rugby Union to urge the claims of; the Auckland Referees' Association 5n the appointment of referees in interprdvinciai and intercolonial matches. The regular meetings of the association were fixed for Wednesday evenings, the next meeting to be held on April 26.
