The marriage; .of Mr..Vincent Marshall, of Drumcairn, Ohaupo, to Miss Katharine Vaughan Cowie, only daughter of the Most Rev. the Primate and Mrs Cowie, was solemnised at St. Batnabas' Chapel, Bishopscourt, on ,April 5, at 8 a,m., by the Most Roy; the Primate, assisted by the Rev. James Marshall, M.A., examining chaplain, father q$ the bridegroom, and the Rev. E. M. Cowie, M.A., brother of the bride. Miss Eva Marshall acted*''*! as bridesmaid, and Mr Herbert Marshall as best man. The chapel was tastefully decorated by Miss Stuart* as also was the library, where the wedding breakfast took place. The service was partly choral, hymn 351 and one canticle being sung, accompanied ott the organ by Mr Arthur Cowie, who also played as the bride left the church the 'Wedding March.' The bride's dress was of white silk with a wreath of orange blossom and veil, the bridesmaid wearing a tasteful and becoming dress of green with white front and a white hat. Mrs Cowie was able to be present, and was wheeled into the chapel and afterwards to the library. At the breakfast the health of the bride and bridegroom was proposed in a happy speech by the Venerable Archdeacon Clarke, one of the oldest New Zealand friends of the .family. The bridegroom having responded, the, health of the bridesmaid was proposed in a few witty words by the Rev. James Marshall, and was responded to on behalf of the bridesmaid by the Rev. E. M. Cowie. The bride and bridegroom afterwards took leave of their.friends in the drawing-room and left for their future home by the 9.30 train. The bride's travelling dress was of dark blue trimmed with white, with a hat to match. The Most Rev. the Primate, Mr Herbert Marshall, and others accompanied the happy couple to tlie Newmarket station. Owing to the state Of Mrs Cowie's health the wedding: vvas a quiet one, and it was only at the last minute that aiew old friends of the family were invited. The following is a list of those who received invitations:—The Rev. J. and Mrs Marshall, the Misses Amy and Eva Marshall, Messrs H. and C. Marshall, the Venerable Archdeacon Clarke, the Hon. Colonel and Mrs Ha-ultain, Canon Gould, Mr and Mrs H. G. Seth-Smith, Mr and Mrs Kensington, Mr and Mrs Luke, Mrs Bates, Miss S. Kenny, Mrs Lecky. the Misses Rich, Mrs Ashwell.. Mr and Mrs Judd, the Rev. G. and Mi's Mac Murray. Mr and Mrs Cochrane, Mr and Mrs C. J. ■Wilson, Miss Irtish, Miss Leonard, Miss Stuart, Miss Qualtrough, Miss Homer.

The. wedding presents numbered more than one hundred, and were both valuable and useful, including several cheques. Some of those from friends in England arrived on the wedding day.
