On Easter Monday the Newton Unsectarian Gospel Mission held their /picnic at Pine Island, and spent a very enjoyable day, about 150 going with the picnic. On the trip up the Mission Brass Band played several tunes making the trip a most enjoyable one. In°the afternoon a camp meeting was held on the island, when several short addresses were given by friends of the mission. We remind house furnishers of the sale of Mr Walter Ponsford's valuable furniture by Gabriel Lewis and Co., on Thursday, 6th inst, at St. George's Bay Road.
