A Sydney racecourse tram violently collided with a tram standing at the Zoological Gardens. Five persons Avere seriously hurt. Tbe Sydney sAvlmming championship, 100 yds, was won by Bishop, who beat Lane, in lmin 1 3-ssec, establishing the world's record for a straightaway course. The London City Council increased the improvement rate in defiance of the Local Government Board.
