AUCKLAND TROTTING CLUB AUTUMN MEETING.
I ANTICIPATIONS 0. SATURDAY'S EVENTS. The autumn meeting of the Auckland Trotting Club commences at Lpsom on Saturday next, the first even. being timed to start at 1 p.m., an-l the last at 5.30 p.m. Mr C. P. Mark, the popular secretary of the Uiid, has made complete arrangements lor the success of the meeting, while re- ! cent rains have put the racing track iin capital order. Mr T. McEwm will provide luncheon in the grand stand. Trams run to the ground at short intervals, and the Club have generously thrown the course open free.to all volunteers in uniform. : The principal item of the programme is the Stewards' Trot, lj miles, in which eight are engaged. I Bob E.T. looks the pick of the. handicap, am. as he has improved of late he must be difficult to beat. \ola Glair will probably entail a penalty by winning the Maiden Trot, but in 'any case he should be handy at the finish; o 4 the others. Cob is the best. The winner, however, should be 800 E.T I;i the other events the following shoivd run well forward in their engagements:—Maiden Trot: Vola Clan1 or Happy- Maiden Pony Handicap: Texas Autumn Handicap: Topsail.. Handicap Hurdles: New Boy. Harness Troi •■ Rosebud or Hird's selected. Electric Trot: Empress. Flying Stakes: Topsail or Nannie.
