Cobham beat The "Rock over a mile run in lmin. 50sec. Fitzroy covered a similar distance in lmin. "474 see, the fastest rim of the morning." Bobadil, George Frederick, and Rifleite ran once round on the coui-se proper, Kona picking them up in the'last six furlongs. Bobadil finished in front, pulling hard, in 2min. 30-Jsec. Eona finished second, and he did the last half-mile in 52isec.

Marathon is scratched for the Doncaster Handicap and Sydney Cup, and Wyalong for the Cup.
