The Ranclwick tracks are in splendid order, and a large crowd witnessed tlie. morning- gallops. Most of the work was done on the course proper. Vivian covered the Doncaster Handicap distance in good style in lmin. 47;] sec. Yigoroifs* (going well) placed seven furlongs to his credit in lmin. 33Asec. April Fool put in a. six furlongs exercise gallop iiwlmin. 25sec. North British, "with -assistance, ran a mile in lmin s(Msec, finishing moderately well. Cobham beat The "Rock over a mile run in lmin. 50sec. Fitzroy covered a similar distance in lmin. "474 see, the fastest rim of the morning." Bobadil, George Frederick, and Rifleite ran once round on the coui-se proper, Kona picking them up in the'last six furlongs. Bobadil finished in front, pulling hard, in 2min. 30-Jsec. Eona finished second, and he did the last half-mile in 52isec.
Marathon is scratched for the Doncaster Handicap and Sydney Cup, and Wyalong for the Cup.
