Last evening he was presented by the members ot the Congregational Church; with a token of esteem and appreciation oi his valuable services as a member of the congregation. HAWERA, this day. Mr T E Taylor has been delivering political and temperance addresses here during the past three days and is making a complete tour ot laranaki. PALMERSTON NORTH, this day. Mr F W. Harrison, the well-known trainer on this coast, was seized with a severe attack of paralysis and apoplexy at Palmerston North this morning. His condition is senous. CHRISTCHURCH, this day. Charles Henry Carter engine driver, was broug-lii up at the Police Cmirt tola V on a charge of manslaughter m connection with the Rakaia railway Xon and was further remanded till April sth, bail being enlarged. NEW PLYMOUTH, this day. From September Ist to March 25th a 122,815 packages butter, valued at £245,630, and 9,326 cases cheese, valued at £18,652, were exported from the .breakwater. Warm rains are causing supplies tolceep op well.
