IN BANKRUPTCY.
A meeting of creditors in the estate of Wffliain Earle, bankrupt, was he d this afternoon at the office of the Official Assignee. Mr Ivecsmg piesided and twenty other creditors were m-esent. On the motion ot Mr lyei, Messrs Fagan and Bindon were appointed supervisors of the estate The action of the Official Assigneein tekins- out a warrant for the arrest ol the bankrupt was confirmed, two creditors guaranteeing costs to the amount of £50 for the prosecution of the banrupt under section 137 of the Bankruptcy Act. It was understood however, that the Government would defray these expenses. In the matter of the launch 'Alert,' Lieut.-Commander Clemens wrote to say that bankrupt had no interst in the launch, but only acted as agent In this connection, Mr Fagan, a creditor, mentioned that he held m. order irom bankrupt on the hv.m/n for about £30.
